GETTING STARTED
Welcome to TileForge. Register an account, open your dashboard, and hit New Project. You'll pick one of three project types: Autotile Forge (paint 6 patches → a 2D platformer tileset, also usable as a top-down set), Sprite Studio (frame-based timeline with layers → sprite sheet or GIF), or Voxel Forge (paint sprites with per-pixel depth → 3D model exported as glTF / OBJ). All three share the same canvas, tools, palette, and undo/redo stack.
Every project type accepts any canvas size from 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512. Free is capped at 32² for tilesets and sprites, and 16³ for voxels; Pro raises both ceilings to 512² (and 64³ for voxels). The smallest 8² option is available on both tiers — great for icons, character portraits, and tiny voxel mascots.
Tileset projects open into a 6-step authoring wizard. Sprite + voxel projects open into the timeline editor with one frame and one layer to start. Use the keyboard shortcuts (B brush, E eraser, G fill, U rect, O circle, L line, Y spray, T stamp, I eyedropper, M select-rect, W wand, Z lasso, N outline, plus D depth / P placement in voxel projects) to flip between tools without leaving the canvas.
Autosave fires ~1.5 seconds after your last edit. The header shows when changes have been persisted. Free users get 2 exports per day; Pro is unlimited.
