SPRITE STUDIO
Sprite Studio projects own a frame timeline at the bottom of the screen and a global layer stack. Each (frame, layer) pair is a "cel" — its own painted image, drawn into the canvas through the layer's blend mode and opacity. Adding a layer adds one cel per existing frame; adding a frame adds one cel per existing layer. Layers are global (rename + reorder them once and every frame sees the change).
Each layer has a visibility toggle, a lock toggle, a blend mode (normal / multiply / overlay), an opacity slider (0–100%), and up/down arrows to move it through the z-stack. The top of the timeline panel = top of the z-stack. Click any cel thumbnail to make it the active editing target. Frames are draggable for reorder and right-clickable for per-frame duration overrides.
Press Play to preview the animation. Loop modes: loop (1→2→3→1…), ping-pong (1→2→3→2→1…), once (1→2→3 stop), and reverse (3→2→1→3…). The default frame duration is 1000/FPS ms; per-frame durations override the project FPS for that single frame. Free tier caps at 4 frames × 2 layers; Pro raises this to 64 × 16.
